This is the international hallmark for companies that make a serious and demonstrable commitment to sustainability. It shows visitors that we make conscious choices to reduce our impact on the environment without compromising on quality and comfort.
To achieve the quality mark, we meet strict requirements in the areas of energy, water, waste, cleaning, purchasing and nature. In doing so, we go beyond standard laws and regulations. Green key has three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. By obtaining Green Key Gold, The Weidehoeve is among the companies that go furthest in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. Moreover, we continuously work on improvements, so that every year we take steps towards cleaner, greener and future-proof business operations.

A sustainable event location
- Green energy:
- We make our own clean energy with solar panels. Where necessary, we still buy energy but only green energy.
- We encourage cleaner transport by providing charging stations and charging points for electric cars and e-bikes.
- Responsible waste and water management:
- We separate waste, use environmentally friendly cleaning agents take active steps for economical water use.
- No pollution of our beautiful, green grounds.
- We also take measures such as creating wadis, branch rills and safe nesting places for animals to protect the soil, flora and fauna.
- Conscious use of nature
- We challenge guests to experience our beautiful nature reserve in a sustainable way. From hiking, cycling, canoeing to stepping, you do it with respect for the environment.
- Our recreational activities are organised with a focus on flora, fauna and landscape. In this way, we want to enjoy and protect at the same time. This is possible with the 'Duurzaam op pad' package.
